JOY Study Groups are open to all women.
JOY IN THE MORNING: Joy will kick-off Tuesday, September 14th, at 9:30 A.M. with an overview of the fall studies and a delicious brunch. Loving childcare is available on the lower level. Our studies will include: Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World: With her fresh approach to the familiar Bible story, Joanna Weaver shows how all of us--Marys and Marthas alike--can draw closer to our Lord: deepening our devotion, strengthening our service, and doing both with less stress and greater joy. Jill Schellhause and Beth Swift will facilitate.
Faith Lessons: The Promised Land, Prophets and Kings, The Life and Ministry of the Messiah: These DVD studies by Ray Vander Laan will help you uncover the “hidden” meaning of Scripture and bring the Bible to life! Uniquely captivating, the series reveals keen insights into the relevance of God’s Word, making it truly applicable to today’s world. Doris Murphy and Marianne Beausejour will facilitate.
EVENING JOY: Join us the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month, from 7:30 – 9:00 pm in the Baker Room beginning Monday, September 20. No child care available. Our studies will include: Focus on the Family Video Series: Faith Lessons on the Life & Ministry of the Messiah Join us for this 8-session study that brings alive the ancient biblical world where the Messiah lived and taught. Understanding the culture of the time can shed new light on God’s plan for our lives. These Faith Lessons tell the stories of the ancient world and share why they are still important for us today.
Each session includes a brief (approx. 20 minute) video followed by questions guaranteed to prompt lively discussion.
