MCC Prayer Updates
Jesus answered,
Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life." John 4:13-14

The Well is a weekly time to be refreshed through worship, the Word prayer and contemplation. We meet Wednesdays evenings from 7 until 8 in the CHAPEL to uplift the name of Jesus.

Are you here from out of town? Everyone is welcome at The Well. We have folks who stop by all the time so don't hesitate. It's a quiet time of music, Scripture, and prayer that will refresh you during your trip. You may sit quietly or join in. We're just about 10 miles east of downtown Cincinnati. (Google Map directions.) So why not come to see what God has for you this week?

Praying with Others  E-mail
Prayer

Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them. — Matthew 18:19-20

Do you feel ill-equipped to pray with another? Is there something that just holds you back from praying aloud for another's need or concern?

Rest assured that most of us have felt that way. There's sometimes a sense that we are going to pray in a way that makes us sound less-spiritual than so-and-so. Sometimes we fear that we are presenting ourselves as more spiritual than we are, that we are not spiritual enough to put ourselves out there. But beloved, know that you are encouraged by the Savior himself to pray with and for one another. (Matthew 18:19-20)  He trusts you to pray. Know that you are praying to God, not an audience but to the most gentle Savior, Jesus. God just wants to hear from us as a family. And, know, too, that you are not judged in this community for how you pray. Know deeply in your heart that your prayers are vital to the spiritual health of MCC.  You are needed.

 So I say to you:
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
                  — Luke 11:9-10

Let us help you overcome the fear of praying aloud or with others. Contact us about joining a prayer team where you will serve with someone experienced and you can safely venture into a ministry for others that touches the very heart of God. We guarantee you will be blessed.

Contact us to learn more about the Prayer Ministry.  No obligation.  Just let us know you'd like to explore the prayer ministry.  We're happy to just join you in seeking God's will for your life and service in the community at MCC.

7 Basic Steps to Successful Fasting and Prayer by Bill Bright of Campus Crusade for Christ
As I began my fast, I was not sure I could continue for forty days. But my confidence was in the Lord to help me. Each day His presence encouraged me to continue. The longer I fasted, the more I sensed the presence of the Lord. The Holy Spirit refreshed my soul and spirit, and I experienced the joy of the Lord as seldom before. Biblical truths leaped at me from the pages of God's Word. My faith soared as I humbled myself and cried out to God and rejoiced in His presence.

St. Patrick's Breastplate  E-mail
Prayer
Breastplates.  A metal garment often worn by warriors to protect the torso which houses the vital organs of the body. In today's culture, we might more readily relate to bullet proof Kevlar® vests; even still, we commonly call it body armour. Effectively, isn't it a modern day breastplate?
As Christians, we we take spiritual body blows that rock us backward, causing us to fear and doubt our faith. We find comfort that God knew we would have times of spiritual challenge and He mentions it in scripture, which He calls the Sword of the Spirit!
