April 17, 2016 we began a new series in the Psalms. We’re calling the series “Kairos” – a word meaning time, usually used to describe “God’s time”. (“Chronos” usually means ordinary time.)

Our prayer is that God will encounter us as we read and meditate through the Psalms. We are suggesting reading 3 or 4 Psalms a day for the next 40 days.

Ask God to meet you as you “chew on” his Word — and expect him to bless you!

If you missed Sunday, please take 9 minutes to watch this video overview of the book of Psalms. It will bless you!

You will notice this video ends up being a poster – copies are available on the connect desk to aid and encourage your study!

MID-WEEK

The dramatic rescue of God’s chosen people through Esther’s bravery reminds us of the faithfulness of God.

It is a preview of the brave rescue of God’s people by Messiah Jesus – and the victory of God over evil.

Brothers and Sisters

Thank you for your prayers for our Israel trip team. It was a magnificent journey with Jesus and we all returned safely with many blessings – we will give an update on a coming Sunday!

I’m grateful for Kevin Robinson’s messages the last two weeks through the story of Esther, especially the great background he shared on the importance of this story to the Jewish people.

The dramatic turnaround and rescue of God’s people is such a beautiful picture of God’s faithfulness. In a world of rampant antisemitism, the church can be encouraged by God’s faithfulness!

May we be Esther types who serve God, take risks and celebrate what He has done for us. He is faithful!

MID-WEEK

The Book of Esther
Read it this week!

Friends

I’m writing this week’s email ahead of my departure to Israel. When you open this, please lift a prayer for our team to encounter Jesus and to return safely!

I encourage you to take 30 minutes this week to read the whole story of Esther as a family, to witness the rescue of God’s people from their enemies.

This story reminds us that we have a faithful God! Even when he is not explicitly named, he is working out his purposes in history.

May you be blessed this week as you trust the God who has every detail of your life in the palm of his hand.

Love in Jesus, Denis
